A tripartite collaboration between the venerable institutions of Dark Woods Coffee, Beer Houses and Zapato Brewing.
Open Eyes is a brand new proper traditional porter, satisfying and light enough to be sessionable, whilst delivering a toasty, fruity canvas. Perfect for layering in Dark Woods Coffee's beautiful nutty, chocolately Deer Hill classic blend, extracted from the whole beans post fermentation. A simple and satisfyingly balanced coffee porter that is greater than the sum of its parts.
We are really pleased with this beer - just the right amount of everything - soft and creamy, gentle coffee tones, gently fruity with a dry finish. It also lays pretty much like that Irish stout you get at the airport.
