Description

We always have a bit of fun when coming up with and putting together recipes for our sweet-inspired series with LeiMai, and this recipe is no exception as we team up with the Pomona Island team from over the hill to present this reinterpretation of multi-flavoured childhood favourite Bon Bons in liquid form. We selected from the most common bon bon flavours to decide our fruit line up, going with the brightly pink-red combination of strawberry, raspberry and sour cherry all in very generous volumes as you’d expect from us. Another favourite in the bon bon collection is the bright blue ball of bubblegum flavour so we had a play and brought this classic aroma into the mix as well. The base beer is a session pale built with a substantial chunk of flaked wheat and oats to ensure a smooth, full drink which takes on smoothie characteristics once the copious volumes of pureed fruit is added to the mix after fermentation.
