Cherry Mead

Description

A delightful fruited mead (or melomel) with aromas of cherry brandy, rose, and almond. A palate of tart cherry and wildflower honey warmth leaves a crisp finish.

Brewed with our house blend wildflower honey, sour cherries, water, and a sparkling wine yeast - no sugar, no grape must. As with all of our meads it undergoes a lengthy two years aging before blending and bottling.

The result is an after-dinner favourite, perfect paired with a rich dark chocolate dessert. It has also found a little niche in mixed drinks, for example replacing the sweet vermouth in a Negroni or served with scotch in a Rob Roy variation.
