Piston Distillery was founded in 2018, a producer of international award winning spirits with a strong rebellious nature. We take pride in combining the best of traditional and modern methods to produce inimitably smooth drinks. Piston started when Nick Weatherall, an engineer with a lust for everything motor, decided to combine that passion with his vision to create a Gin that “ticked every box”. He quickly developed his “Distinguished Dry Gin’, a recipe made of a distinctive and delicious blend of 14 botanicals poured from our statement bottle finished with our unique stainless still ‘Piston’ top.
After refining the Dry recipe, Piston has since won Double Gold, Gold and Silver Awards at the World Spirits Competition in San Francisco. Although perfect in its own right, Nick has since taken this recipe and develop the Piston Flavour Range - These include; Forêt Noire, a beautifully balanced dark forest Gin, Gold medal winner Oak Aged, all-natural Strawberry & Hibiscus, the unique & perfect sipper Coffee Infused, our newest of the range, fiery Ginger & of course the incredibly citrusy Douglas Fir. Finally, away from Gin we have developed a 9x distilled sipping vodka, best served over ice.
