Northern Monkey Brew Co was founded in 2016 by Ryan Bailey and Liam Convey. A passion for drinking real ale, that progressed into homebrewing and then eventually "let's build a brewery!" Years of planning, building and practice runs followed and some seriously understanding partners. We have gained some fantastic local customers and continue to sell further and further afield, at present selling independently throughout the North West.

We started 2017 our first full calendar year with high hopes and ambitions, we finished the year having undergone our first expansion and having won our first Gold award in the SIBA independent beer awards. Followed up in 2018 with National Silver Award in the Dark Ales category for our 6% Chocolate Treacle Porter, 'Underdog'.
2018 also saw Kev, join the Northern Monkey team. This has given us the time and ability to really focus on the future and in August saw the opening and further increase in size of brewery equipment. It has been a busy year that has also taken our total beers in the range to 15 including 2 collaborations with 2017 Bolton CAMRA pub of the year 'The Beer School' and Bingley Brewery from over t'hill, respectively.
Our aims and ambitions remain the same as the day we first started and that is to make great beer and take great pride in representing our Northern heritage, and of course to serve the greatest beers at our Brewery Tap.
