After a combined 40 years between us in the hospitality industry and 4 years at East London Brewing Company for Jonny, we opened NorthDwon Brewery in May 2018.
We have been very busy supplying for Alehouses, micro pubs, restuarants and galleries in Kent and Country wide.
There is a lot of love for beer in Kent, home of the British hop, but the county remains a relatively unsaturated market compared with other parts of the Country.
Margate, with it's colourful past, coastal living and hugely supportive community, was a massive draw and it has a fine history of being a revered area for brewing.
King Charles II & Samuel Pepys both referenced a 17th Century brewery in Margate just off Northdown Road, which produced Northdown Ale, which was amazingly referenced by a poem of the time. An incredible piece of history that we will certainly honour.
