Hofmeister is back – the same name but a very different beer. If you remember us from the 80’s, today’s Hofmeister might well surprise you. Following a relaunch in 2017, Hofmeister now makes genuine imported Bavarian lager. Crowned ‘World’s Best Lager’ at the last IWSC Beer Awards, our Helles is also winner of multiple awards including double gold at the European Beer Challenge and gold at the International Beer Challenge.
Made in the heart of Bavaria by a fourth-generation family brewery, we use nothing but natural mineral water and locally grown barley and hops. Our multi-award winning Hofmeister Helles Lager is slow-brewed colder and longer at 0°C according to the ancient Reinheitsgebot German beer purity law. That’s because we believe all the extra time and effort is well worth it. And when you try our fresher, subtly hoppy and gently carbonated Helles, we think you will too.
Amongst a host of international awards, Hofmeister Helles Lager was awarded the highest accolade in the Lager Category at the last Beer Awards, a beer competition run by the world's leading experts, IWSC Group. In blind tasting, Hofmeister not only won the Lager category but also won the rare 5 Star rating, the only lager ever to have achieved 5 stars.
