Master Brewer Philip Downes and his experienced team create ales with real character, beautifully engineered by hand in the brewery’s steam copper, ensuring a consistently high quality whilst minimising impact on the environment. At Box Steam Brewery we use traditional, floor malted Maris Otter barley exlusively from Warminster Maltings - Britain’s oldest working maltings. We only use whole hops in our brewing process, mostly English varieties such as Fuggles and Goldings, and sometimes specialist American hops such as Cascade, added for their aroma.
